1. What kind of art do you sell?

www.ColgroveFineArt.com is the world's marketplace for Ron Colgrove’s originals and reproductions -- that is, giclées, prints, and limited-edition prints, covering a wide range of tastes from classical fine art to popular architecture to landscape themes to everyday family activities.  We offer limited edition art that is as unique as you are.

2. Does the image on your site accurately represent what I will be sent?

We strive for a high degree of image accuracy.  However, in some cases, the visual representation may be approximate.  Occasionally, minor modifications occur between printing runs.  If you are not satisfied with the product you receive, you may return it within thirty (30) days for a refund.

3. How accurate are the item dimensions listed on your web pages?

www.ColgroveFineArt.com verifies the dimensions of all images on our site, but due to industry standards, sizes can vary slightly.  If you are not satisfied with the product you receive, you may return it within thirty (30) days for a refund.

4. Do you offer original art?

Yes! www.ColgroveFineArt.com will highlight Ron Colgrove’s original art from time to time.  When we show his original art, there will be an Original Art menu link on the www.ColgroveFineArt.com home page. Product page information details the artist’s inspiration for the work, the medium used, price and availability for sale.

5. Do you supply what is needed to hang my unframed print?

Not at this time.  You will need to purchase a frame or have it framed by your local vendor.

6.  What is a giclée?

Derived from the French word meaning "to spray" or “to squirt”, the word Giclée (pronounced: zhee-clay) is used to describe a digital fine art printmaking process. Giclée prints are created using a high-resolution inkjet printer. Images or paintings are carefully scanned and reproduced using archival ultra chrome inks.

The process of fine art reproduction has been revolutionized with the development of Giclée printing. Giclée are digital reproductions of original artwork. Produced directly from a digital file, these prints save you from generations of detail-robbing negatives and printing plates.

Giclées use a version of inkjet technology that is far more sophisticated than your desktop printer. This technology contains lightfast inks and more abundant and accurate print heads. The chosen medium (fine art paper or canvas) is individually mounted onto a drum which rotates during the printing process. While this drum spins, fine streams of ink droplets spray onto the chosen medium. Since there are no screens used in Giclée printing, the prints are produced at a higher resolution than lithographs and the dynamic color range is greater than serigraphy. This process also has a far wider color gamut rendering Giclée superior to traditional printing options. The colors are brighter, the prints last longer, and they are so high-resolution that they have virtually continuous tone. Giclée reproductions can be printed on a variety of substrates or mediums…

We understand that image permanence is a concern to both artists and art collectors and we are confident that the Giclée process adequately addresses those concerns. Rated at 125 years plus, Giclée prints are UV protected for fade and color shift resistance. (http://www.5thavestudios/giclee.html, July 21, 2009)

9. What if I can't find the print I want?

If you need help finding an item on our site, please contact our Information Line at 1-352-978-3589 or via email at info@colgrovefineart.com. We will be glad to assist you in your search. Here are a few navigational tips:

1.  Avoid using quotes in the search fields.
2.  Leave out small words in a title search such as the, and, a, etc.

10. How can I tell if an item is in stock?

We operate Ron Colgrove Fine Art on an order only methodology as we carry very little inventory.  This means that as soon as we receive the order, we have the item reproduced to your specifications.  On each product page, it will typically state “Usually ships in 5-7 business days."  If the item requires longer processing, the product page will inform you by stating that the item "Usually ships in x-x business days.”
