Ron generally uses a lot of ink when creating a work of art in pen and ink, but in the case of Horseneck Beach (pen and ink, 12x18) he wanted to create silkscreen prints embellished with watercolor. When planning this type of work, he keeps his lines simpler to allow the color to show. Here is his watercolor rendition of Horseneck Beach.

The original drawing by Ron Colgrove is 12” x 18” and was drawn in pen and ink using a flexible crow quill dip pen. It was then reproduced using a silkscreen press onto 12” x 18” 24 lb water color paper. Ron then hand water colored the images and created a giclée image for high quality reproduction.
